Good question George. Some hot tub cover retailers have a data base of dimensions by spa manufacturer, model and year. With online stores, it is easy to use the search function to quickly search a web site for exactly what you need.
Even better, you can Google the information and you may find exactly what you need. A quick Google of “Image Renew model 631” produces a PDF file of the User’s Manual for this model. To the left is the illustration from it. The dimensions are shown to be 80 X 76 X 36. Note that these dimensions are the length, width and the HEIGHT of the spa from the ground. The dimensions usually provided by User’s Manuals are the shipping dimensions.
From the illustrations in this manual, the spa seems to be a rectangle with rounded corners with no additional need for speaker pockets or control panel cut outs.
It is unlikely a retailer will be found that has a template for this spa, since it is a relatively simple shape with no customizations necessary. Spas with features that are raised above the top lip of the spa -such as speakers – are difficult covers to make so manufacturers will be more likely to have a template in these cases. Other special cases include kidney shapes, spas with sides either bowed out or bowed in, spas with raised water fall features, etc.
If you cannot find a cover store that has your make and model, you have no need to worry. The vast majority of replacement hot tub covers produced are manufactured to the specifications provided by the buyer. In the case of the Model 631, the dimensions required will be the length, width, corner radius and skirt length.
A search of this site will show how to measure for the corner radius and the skirt length.
